To Remember Is to Forget, 2026
Participatory Installation
Photographic Emulsion, Water, Glass, Light Table
36” x 48” x 24”
Air, water, light, and glass function as mediating thresholds between the body and ways of knowing. When a photograph, a record of light, begins to move, it resists the stability that defines the medium. This work suspends preservation as a perceptual process shaped by temporality. The search for clarity depends on gestures that shift, awaken, and gradually degrade the images over time. Each vessel invites sustained looking and careful maneuvering, emphasizing seeing as a relational, porous exchange between viewer, material, and environment.
